Melinda Olson began her duties as the new TCCF Executive Director on August 2nd at the Annual Fair Breakfast. 

Melinda grew up in Norton, KS, and graduated from the Illinois State University with a BS in accounting.  She moved to Colby about six years ago with her husband, Brian, and she is currently an active member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Thomas County Coaltion, Colby Grade School Site Council and 4-H.  Brian and Melinda have three young boys: Evan, 10; Josh ;7, and Jake, 3.

From your New Director:

My ultimate goal is to directly touch the lives of all people in Thomas County and make it the absolute best place to live.  Whether your children are in organizations such as Girl Scouts, you enjoy the local arts such as Pride of the Prairie Orchestra, or you enjoy the annual events like the Rod Run, I want all of the citizens of Thomas County to feel the presence of the Foundation and know that we care and are committed to helping those organizations and events.

In the next year, I plan to move the Foundation into the next stage of development: the growth of the Thomas County Community Foundation.  We will be implementing some exciting new ideas and I will be giving many talks and presentations around the county to familiarize everyone with exactly what the Foundation has done in the past, what we are currently doing in the present, and our exciting plans for the future of Thomas County.
