This fund has been initiated by generous community members to provide nourishment to those children in Thomas County suffering from food insecurity.  Monies from this fund are used to purchase healthy food for weekend and school break consumption by local children who would not otherwise have regular access to an adequate food supply for these time periods. The food is given directly to those children in a way that provides privacy, confidentiality, and dignity for the families involved.

Ultimately, we would like to see this fund at $100,000 in order to have $3,000-$5,000 available to grant annually each year to ensure that no child in Thomas County suffers from food insecurity.
