On Tuesday, July 18th, approximately 30 people from Thomas County participated in a “Strategic Doing” meeting, hosted by Betty Johnson of Johnson & Associates from Lawrence, KS. Strategic Doing is a simple, but disciplined process to move ideas to action quickly. The term, which originated at Purdue University, can be Googled for more information, but our purpose for utilizing this system will be to help communities and organizations in Thomas County identify strategic projects that can improve our quality of life through grant awards. If you are interested in participating in “Strategic Doing”, please contact the Thomas County Community Foundation at 350 S. Range, Colby or call us at 785-460-9152.
The second meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, at Colby Community College's multipurpose room located in the student union.
